Historic Ivanhoe Sears Craftsman plans

 

The house we are building originated from plans from a Sears catalog.  The early 20th century Sears Craftsman bungalow called the Ivanhoe was the starting point for the plans for our house.  The new house will take the concept of the Ivanhoe, adding a full, covered front porch, and moving the side porch to the rear.  The $2,618 price that Sears advertised the Ivanhoe at the time has considerably inflated and adjusted higher.  Yet the craftsmanship and custom tailoring of the Ivanhoe will be fully recognized, capturing authentic qualities and updated with intent to be a jewel in a historic Charlotte neighborhood.
